To ensure the provision of healthy food is met whilst also adhering to children’s individual dietary needs. Working within appropriate food hygiene and health and safety legislation and guidance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 key duties&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• To prepare the food area in the nursery and foundation unit i.e. ensuring tables are cleaned thoroughly, using appropriate table cloths, and laying the table with some of the older children, placing items of interest on the tables&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• To ensure the food is divided into bowls for nursery children to serve themselves, under two’s to be served on plates. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Keep a log of food temperatures in and when going out to the children&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Co-ordinate the serving of the food with other nursery staff whilst being aware of Childrens allergies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;• Follow daily cleaning duties and sign off.
